The accused arrested for selling illegal liquor and creating unrest in the village

Balod. Action has been taken under sections 107, 116 (3) against two people who broke the peace in village Latabod. According to the information, the police had received a complaint of selling liquor illegally in village Latabod and creating disturbance in the village. On which the joint team of Thana Balod, Cyber Cell Balod and Excise Department went to village Latabod and verified where Surendra Kumar and Arvind Thakur were found to be creating unrest in the village.

During interrogation, Surendra Kumar of village Latabod, Arvind Thakur started talking to the police in a hushed manner that he would see the police, and started talking about calling the prominent people of the village to see the police, due to which there was a lot of anger among the villagers. A helpless situation had been created, in view of the strong possibility of a cognizable offense being committed by the police, the non-applicants were arrested on the spot under section 151 as there was no other option.
