Rajasthan Cinema (Regulation) (Amendment) Bill – 2023 passed by voice vote
The Legislative Assembly on Friday passed the Rajasthan Cinema (Regulation) (Amendment) Bill – 2023 by voice vote. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Shanti Kumar Dhariwal presented the bill in the House for consideration. After discussion, the House passed the bill. Parliamentary Affairs Minister said that on August 10, 2020, the Central Government had written a letter under Ease of Doing Business, while reviewing the law, had given instructions to include provisions of non-criminalisation in it. In pursuance of this, the Rajasthan Cinema (Regulation) (Amendment) Bill – 2023 has been brought, amending the Rajasthan Cinema (Regulation) Act – 1952. Earlier, the House unanimously rejected the proposal to circulate the bill for public opinion.
