Transfer of Rs 155 crore to the bank accounts of more than 36 lakh beneficiaries – free of cost from August 15

Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot said that it is the responsibility of the governments and the right of the people to run public welfare schemes for the common people. The work done by the state government in the last four and a half years by participating in the happiness and sorrow of the people of the state is unprecedented and it is being discussed in every house. He said that to give relief to the people of the state from inflation, inflation relief camps are being organized by the state government, in which gas cylinders for Rs.
Mr. Gehlot was addressing the beneficiaries of the Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme at the state level beneficiary dialogue organized at the Chief Minister’s residence on Thursday. He transferred benefits worth Rs 155.92 crore to the accounts of 36.76 lakh beneficiaries in one go at the push of a button. In this, Rs 7.32 crore was transferred to the remaining 1.72 lakh consumers with the benefit of DBT for the month of April, Rs 70 crore 86 lakh to 16 lakh 71 thousand consumers in the month of May and Rs 77 crore 73 lakh to 18 lakh 33 thousand consumers in the month of June. In this way Rs 155 crore 92 lakh were transferred to a total of 36 lakh 76 thousand consumers. Similarly, an amount of Rs 6 crore 90 lakh was transferred to about 1 lakh 60 thousand beneficiaries of Alwar district.
This is the second phase of benefit transfer to the registered consumers of Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme. Earlier on June 5, the Chief Minister had transferred an amount of about Rs 60 crore to the accounts of about 14 lakh registered consumers. So far in Alwar district, a total amount of Rs 9 crore 46 lakh 975 has been transferred through DBT to the accounts of 2 lakh 19 thousand 514 beneficiaries in both the phases.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is fulfilling every promise made with the resolve for public welfare. The benefits of 10 schemes are being guaranteed through inflation relief camps across the state, out of which 8 schemes have been implemented. Gas cylinder for Rs 500 under Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme, 100 units per month free electricity to domestic consumers under Chief Minister Free Electricity Scheme, 2000 units per month free electricity to agricultural consumers under Chief Minister Free Agricultural Electricity Scheme, 25 days additional employment under Mahatma Gandhi NREGA scheme and 100 days additional employment to Kathodi, Sahariya and specially abled, 125 days under Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme Employment, minimum pension of Rs 1000 per month under Social Security Pension Scheme, health insurance of Rs 25 lakh under Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana and accident insurance cover of Rs 10 lakh under Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Accident Insurance Scheme is being given.
Mr. Gehlot said that the distribution of free food packets to 1 crore 6 lakh families will start from August 15, 2023, under the Annapurna Food Packet Yojana guarantee. At the same time, Chief Minister Kamdhenu Bima Yojana will also be implemented soon.
Common citizens of the country are troubled by inflation
Mr. Gehlot said that today the common citizen of the country is troubled by rising inflation and unemployment. The central government implemented the Ujjwala scheme, but the prices of gas cylinders continued to rise up to Rs.1150. Similarly, the price of tomato has also reached Rs 150 per kg. There is anger among the common people due to the ever-increasing inflation. The central government should take steps to provide relief to the common people from inflation. He said that only to give relief from inflation, the state government is providing gas cylinders for Rs.500 only. Many other states of the country are also following this initiative.
First state to enact law to guarantee minimum income
Mr. Gehlot said that Rajasthan is the first state in the country where minimum income guarantee has been provided by enacting a law. He said that about 1 crore single women, widows, elderly and disabled people are being given pension under the Social Security Pension Scheme in the state. The amount of minimum pension has been increased to Rs.1000. Along with the Mahatma Gandhi NREGA scheme, 125 days of employment is being provided in the state under the Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme. About 6 lakh children are being benefited under the Palanhar scheme. This scheme is proving to be helpful in giving the right direction to his life. The Chief Minister said that in future the Minimum Income Guarantee Act will be further strengthened by bringing other schemes including Palanhar under its ambit. Similarly, a district level program of Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme was organized in the newly declared district Khairthal.
In the district level program organized at Pratap Auditorium, Vice President of Rajasthan Anuja Corporation Mr. Awadhesh Bairwa, Vice President of District Bisuka Mr. Yogesh Mishra, ADM First Mr. Uttam Singh Shekhawat, Deputy District Head Mrs. Lalita Meena, CEO of Zilla Parishad Mr. Kanishka Kataria, DSO Mr. Jitendra Singh Naruka, Pradhan Mr. Nasru Khan, Mrs. Kamlesh Saini, Mr. Ripudaman Gupta, Mr. Rajesh Krishna Siddha, Mr. K.K Khandelwal including eminent persons. Officers and a large number of beneficiaries were present.
