Naxalites felled trees on the road, also put up banner posters

Dantewada. In Dantewada district, on Friday, July 28, Naxalites cut trees and laid them on the road, along with banner posters, blocked the road in Budli Marg between Barsul Naraypur Road in Dantewada district to observe their alleged martyr’s week. According to the information, martyrdom week is being celebrated by the Naxalites from 28 July to 3 August.

In this martyrdom week, they pay tribute to their Naxalite comrades who were killed in an encounter by the security forces by performing small programs. To accept which, Naxalites cut down trees, put up banner posters on the Budli road between Barsul to Naraypur road and also built a memorial for the martyred Naxalites.

The road was closed from morning till 4 pm due to fallen trees and Naxalite posters being put up on the road. As soon as the jawans came to know about this in the morning, the jawans immediately reached the spot and went out searching the road with the opening party from both the sides. After which they found banner posters and trees planted, which they removed with the help of JCB. Due to the apprehension of a bomb being planted nearby, the jawans came out with bomb disposal squad and dog squad and got the road started again.
