Narrow escape for tourists, Tiger safari bus falls into ditch in Nandankanan
Bhubaneswar: Bus carrying 30 visitors inside the Tiger safari at Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar had a narrow escape as the bus lost its balance and fell into the ditch.
As many as 30 visitors were trapped in the bus as the vehicle was stranded inside the safari.
The Nandankanan zoo authorities were immediately informed about the incident and necessary steps were immediately taken and the two tigers were relocated to a safe location who were roaming near the bus.
Though no one was injured in the accident, the passengers were in a state of fear with tiger roaming near the vehicle, according to sources.
Earlier, on July 9, 2023, similiar situation has taken place, where a bus carrying visitors inside the lion safari at Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar lost its balance and slipped from the main road to a ditch.
The visitors were trapped in the bus as the vehicle was stranded inside the safari for more than one and half-hour.
Meanwhile, question mark has been raised over the safety and security of the visitors inside various safaris of Nandankanan zoo after both the incidents.
