Snake bitten the sleeping pregnant, death

Korba. An 8-month pregnant woman died due to karait bite in Dongaghat village of the district. The woman’s name was Suman, who was bitten by a snake while sleeping at night. The relatives were taking him to the hospital, but he died on the way. The matter belongs to Balko Nagar police station area.

Shyam Singh, the husband of the deceased woman told that his wife Suman was in her 8th month. On Tuesday night both husband and wife had dinner and went to sleep. The wife was sleeping separately on a cot and he was sleeping on a separate bed with his children. A krait snake bit the wife at around 1 o’clock in the night. His wife woke up from a snake bite. He saw the karait in the room. She immediately told this to her husband.

Panicked to hear about the snake bite, the husband immediately called 108 Sanjeevani Express. The wife was brought by ambulance to the district hospital, where the doctor declared her brought dead after examination. District hospital outpost in-charge Ravindra Kumar Janardan told that on the basis of the memo received from the district hospital, postmortem has been done by doing panchnama of the dead body. Further action is being taken in the matter.
