Villagers protested for not widening the roads
Kanker. Villagers have stopped trucks carrying mines on Antagarh Narayanpur State Highway 5. Because of which meat vehicles are stuck on the state highway for the last 24 hours. The villagers have been demanding the widening of the roads for the last several days, but angry with the sluggish attitude of the local administration and the government, the villagers have staged a protest. The villagers have warned to stop all vehicles passing through the highway if the demand is not met.
In Kanker’s Kumhari Chowk, due to the sluggish attitude of the local administration and the government, the chodikaran work in Antagarh Narayanpur State Highway 5 is stuck. Due to which there is a lot of resentment among the local villagers. The villagers have been demanding the widening of the roads for the last several months. But till now the administration has not taken any care of them. Due to which the villagers have put up tents on the State Highway 5 and staged a blockade. The villagers have told not to allow even a single mines vehicle to ply on State Highway 5 until the road is widened.
