Bilaspur. In Bilaspur, a youth climbed a 50 feet high high tension transmission tower. People lost their sleep seeing him. After several attempts, he did not come down. This dangerous drama went on for about four hours. Finally, on the second morning after the power supply was switched off, people with the help of the police pulled it down by tying a rope. According to the information, Sanjay Yadav, a resident of Bundela of Chakarbhata police station area, had come to his uncle’s in-laws Khajuri-Udela guest house. He was sleeping last Saturday night. Then suddenly at 2 o’clock in the night he got up and went out for a walk. During this, he climbed the high tension transmission tower passing through the village. When people saw him climbing the tower, they informed his relatives about it. Surprised by his antics, the relatives rushed to the tower and shouted for him to come down. But, he reached higher.
Late night the relatives informed the Hirri police about the incident. As soon as the news was received, the police team reached the village. During this, the policemen called the electrical personnel of Chhatauna sub-station. But, he refused to come saying that it was a transmission line. The incident was informed to Headquarters DSP CD Lehre, when he reached the spot. He informed the police control room about the incident. Then by giving information to Ratanpur and Koni police, the power supply was stopped from the power grid located in Bharni. A team was called from there and on Sunday morning the young man was somehow brought down by tying a rope in the tower.
