Action taken against those who drive without seat belt
Dhamtari. On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Prashant Thakur, under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Madhulika Singh and under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police Manishankar Chandra, the traffic police launched a special campaign on 26.08.2023 to reduce the accident death due to driving without seatbelt without seatbelt. 3500/- settlement fee was collected by taking action against 07 drivers while explaining to the running drivers.
The drivers were told that by applying seatbelt, serious injury can be avoided in the event of a road accident, and while driving the vehicle remains balanced on the body, there is no injury on the body due to sudden braking. In the same order, on finding a vehicle running with a black film during the challan proceedings, after stopping the vehicle, taking challan proceedings against the driver under the Motor Vehicles Act, the black film attached to the vehicle was removed.
This action will continue continuously with the aim of making the drivers follow the traffic rules to avoid road accidents. The traffic police appeals to the general public not to drive vehicles without seatbelts, not to wear black films, avoid inconvenience and stay safe by following traffic rules.
