Ashram superintendent suspended in student’s death case, Collector took action
Bijapur: The series of deaths of students studying in ashrams, hostels, potacabins is going on in the district. On September 2, a class 11 student living in the Toynar Ashram died due to drowning in the pond. Four children had gone to bathe in a pond located two kilometers away from Toynar Ashram. It was during this time that this accident happened. Taking action in the matter, the ashram superintendent has been suspended.
This incident is being reported on September 2 at around 3 pm. There is a hand pump present in the ashram, which is said to be closed. After which the children went to bathe in a pond located two kilometers away from Toynar Ashram. During this time the child died due to drowning. The name of the child who died on the spot is being told as Rajesh Tigan. The child’s family lives in Bijapur. The father of the deceased child had dropped him at Toynar Ashram a day before. On the information of drowning in the pond, the police reached the spot and the dead body was handed over to the relatives after post-mortem in the district hospital, Bijapur. The parents are in bad shape due to the death of their child. There is mourning in the village. After the death of the student, now the administration has woken up from sleep. Kalyan Singh Masram, Assistant Commissioner of Tribal Development Branch, has said to get the matter investigated.
Bijapur Collector Rajendra Kumar Katara has suspended ashram superintendent Bhupesh Gangwal with immediate effect for negligence in official work. Shankar Morla has been given the charge of superintendent. In the last week of July, an innocent tribal student studying in POTA cabin operated in Chinnakodepal died of malaria.
