Everyone is asked to eat light and healthy food at night time ie dinner. In such a situation, Moong Dal Khichdi is a very good option. Can make it easily. Consuming it makes one feel lighter. Digestive system remains fine. It can be served with ghee or curd. Rice, moong dal, salt and some other spices are required to make it. Spices enhance the taste of Khichdi. Khichdi is rich in fiber, vitamin C, magnesium, potassium, calcium and phosphorus. Khichdi is a win-win deal in every way. Material 1 cup moong dal 4 to 5 cups water 2 large tomatoes 2 green chilies half teaspoon asafoetida 3 tbsp ghee 1 cup rice 2 large onions 2 tsp cumin a little ginger half tsp turmeric salt as required Method To make this khichdi, first wash the moong dal and rice and soak them in water. Keep it soaked for about 30 to 40 minutes. Now keep the pressure cooker on medium flame. Add ghee in it. Add some cumin and asafoetida to it. Then add chopped onions. Fry them for some time. After this, add chopped tomatoes and chilies to it. Add grated ginger to it. Fry it for some time. After this, add rice and moong dal to it. Add salt, turmeric and water to it. Now cover the cooker. Let it take about 2 to 3 whistles. After the whistle, turn off the gas. Now open the lid of the cooker. Take out the khichdi in a plate. Garnish it with ghee and green coriander. After this serve hot. You can also add lemon juice to it.
