MP: Big decision of Shivraj government – financial help to mob lynching victim
Madhya Pradesh government has approved a scheme to provide financial assistance to the victim and his dependents in case of mob lynching. Along with this, now under the Chief Minister Ladli Behna Awas Yojana, if any Ladli Sister does not have a house, the government will build her a house. For this, the name of Chief Minister Antyodar Awas Yojana has been changed.
The cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at Samatva Bhawan, the Chief Minister’s residence. Madhya Pradesh Mob Lynching Victims Compensation Scheme-2023 has been approved for relief and rehabilitation of mob lynching victims and their dependents. Under this scheme, if a crowd of five or more persons causes harm to one or more persons on the basis of religion, caste, gender, birthplace, language, food habits, sexual offences, political affiliation, ethnicity or any other basis, the State Government will provide financial assistance. Will do. In case of death of the victim, assistance of Rs 5 to 10 lakh will be given to the dependents, Rs 7 to 10 lakh to rape and gang rape victims and Rs 1 to 2 lakh in case of disability. Eight lakh rupees will be given to the acid attack victim.
Houses for the homeless under Chief Minister Ladli Brahmin Awas Yojana
The Cabinet has now converted Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Awas Yojana into Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana. The cabinet has approved the proposal for name amendment. Under this scheme, houses will be provided to eligible homeless families of all categories. In future, whenever the unit cost of housing construction under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Rural increases, then the unit cost under this scheme will also be increased.
Double increase in monthly honorarium of cooks
The monthly honorarium of cooks associated with the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman Yojana, operated under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, has been increased to two times. Earlier you used to get Rs 2,000, now you will get Rs 4,000. This will benefit 2.10 lakh cooks. In addition to the amount already allocated, Rs 294 crore 32 lakh has been approved for the remaining period of the current financial year 2023-24 and Rs 714 crore 79 lakh has been approved every year from the financial year 2024-25.
One year extension in special recruitment drive
The deadline for the special recruitment drive to fill the backlog/carry forward posts of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and Divyangjan has been extended by one year. Earlier this deadline was till July 1, 2023. Now the period will be till 30 June 2024.
Monthly honorarium of guest teachers also doubled
The monthly honorarium of guest teachers has doubled. For Class-1, the honorarium has been increased from Rs 9,000 to Rs 18,000, for Class-2 from Rs 7,000 to Rs 14,000 and for Class-3, honorarium has been increased from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000.
Government will give subsidy on refill
The government will give a grant of Rs 450 to the dear sisters on gas refill in the month of Shravan. In the announcement of the Chief Minister on August 27, gas refill will be available for Rs 450 from July 4 to August 31, 2023 to all women having gas connections under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwalata Yojana and Ladli sisters having gas connections under non-PMUY. This grant will be given if the gas connection is in the name of the beloved sisters.
Allotment of land to NFSU

The Cabinet approved the establishment of four new government colleges including Government College Bilaspur (Umaria), Government College Bharewa (Umaria), Government College Salichauka (Narsinghpur) and Government College Rahatgaon (Harda) and 3 government colleges including Government College Nagda (Ujjain), For starting new faculty/subject in Government College, Rajpur (Barwani), Government College, Seoni Malwa (Narmadapuram), total expenditure for creation of 240 new posts and recurring expenditure is Rs 13 crore 22 lakh per year and other non-recurring expenditure is Rs 64 crore 05 lakh 88 thousand. Thus, a total expenditure of Rs 77 crore 27 lakh 88 thousand was approved.
In Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana, the requirement of rank in JEE Mains is abolished.
Under the Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana, the compulsion of getting rank in JEE Mains examination for the students admitted in government, autonomous and aided engineering institutes of the Government of India and their universities has been abolished.
Katju hospital will be converted into a 300 bed civil hospital
