Five houses collapsed in Rampur, woman and others got injured, alert around Ramganga-Kosi river
It has been raining continuously in Rampur district since Saturday night. Due to this, once again Ramangga and Kosi rivers are in spate. The administration has issued an alert around the rivers. There is a situation of waterlogging on the city roads. Big vehicles are stranded at many places. On the other hand, heavy rain is wreaking havoc in Shahbad area. Five houses have collapsed due to rain.
The house of farmer Bhura, resident of Supa village of tehsil area, collapsed due to rain. Necessary household items got buried under the debris of the house. Abdul Hasan, resident of Gosampur village, is a truck driver by profession. Half of his house has also collapsed. Abdul Hasan told that the tile of his house fell on his wife Sharifan. He suffered minor injuries due to this.
The roof of Sobaran’s house in Divyangala village also broke. In the same village, part of Javitri and Pritam’s house was also destroyed. According to Pritam, his younger brother Satish (15) got injured when the tile of the house fell. The process of house collapse continues due to continuous rain. After the information, SDM Sunil Kumar has sent light accountants to the spot.
It started raining in the district around 10.30 pm on Saturday night. Which continues intermittently. The water level of Ramganga-Kosi has also increased due to continuous rain. Now the water level here has reached 2500-3500 cusecs. People of many villages including nearby villages Rustam Chharpra, Ravanna, Dalelnagar, Pranpur, Ghosipura, Salepur, Ishwarpur are very worried about this.
