Litti-Chokha is the traditional food of Bihar, know how to make it

Ingredients for making Litti
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp oil
- 1/2 tsp celery
- 2 tbsp ghee
Litti Masala Ingredients - 1 cup sattu
- 4-5 garlic, grated
- 1 piece ginger, grated
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 green chillies, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup coriander, finely chopped
- 1 tsp celery
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp oil
- 1 tablespoon pickle masala
- Salt as per taste
sharpening material - 1 brinjal, round
- 2-3 potatoes
- 2 tomatoes
- 2-3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 piece ginger, finely chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 green chillies, finely chopped
- 1 tsp green coriander
- 1 lemon
- 1 tablespoon oil
- salt as per taste
Method of making Litti flour
Sieve the flour and take it out in a bowl. Now add ghee and light salt to it and mix well. Then knead the dough soft with lukewarm water. Cover the kneaded dough and keep it aside for half an hour.
Litti Masala Recipe
Take out the Sattu in a bowl and add ginger, green chilli, coriander, lemon juice, salt, black salt, cumin, mustard oil and pickle masala and mix well. Now add a little water to it and make a coarse masala.
Litti Recipe
Make medium sized balls from the kneaded dough and shape them into a bowl with the help of your hands. Now fill 1 to 2 spoons of prepared masala in these bowls and lift the dough from all sides, close it and make a round ball. Now press this ball with your palm and flatten it a little. Now make a fire by burning wood or coal in an iron vessel and bake the prepared balls in this fire.
Method of making chokha
Fry the brinjal, potatoes and tomatoes and peel them. Now mash them in a bowl and add onion, chilli, coriander leaves, lemon, salt and oil and mix well. Now heat some oil in a pan and add garlic and ginger in it and fry them. Mix this powder in chokha. Now take out the chokha in a small bowl and keep it in a plate. Break the hot litti from the middle, dip it in ghee and keep it in a plate. Serve the prepared Litti Chokha hot.
