The villager had gone out to search for cattle, but was badly injured by a bear
Korba: The incidence of attacks by wild animals is increasing in forest areas. Wild animals are attacking the villagers. Due to which there is an atmosphere of fear among the people. In Korba district, a ferocious bear attacked a villager fatally.
To avoid becoming a victim of the bear, the villager risked his life and fought with the bear and somehow saved his life. But the person has been badly injured by the bear attack. He was taken to Korba Medical College for treatment, from there the injured has been referred to Bilaspur SIMS. This entire incident took place in Boirjhumar Tikra, a dependent village of Patrapali village in Pasarkhet range of Korba forest division.
According to the information, Jotram Rathiya, father Sadhram Rathiya, resident of Boirjhumar Tikra, aged about 64 years, had gone towards the forest to search for the cattle when they did not come home till late evening of 14th September. Meanwhile it started raining heavily. Jotram Rathiya was returning home to avoid the rain. Meanwhile, the bear present here attacked Jotram. To save his life, Jotram fought with the bear. This conflict between the wild bear and Jotram continued for about 15 minutes. After which the bear ran away towards the forest.
