Sudam Marndi gets Revenue and Disaster Management ministry of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Minister of School and Mass Education of Odisha Sudam Marndi given additional responsibility of Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management after the resignation of Minister Pramila Mallik from the post.According to reports, the post of minister of Revenue and Disaster Management has been allotted to Sudam Marndi after the minister in the post, Pramila Mallik resigned.It is worth mentioning here that she ha been nominated as the BJD candidate for the post of Odisha Assembly Speaker, following which she has resigned.According to reliable reports, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Pramila Mallik reached Naveen Niwas this morning and tendered her resignation from the post.

Further, it is worth mentioning that the Minister has reached the Odisha Assembly to file the nomination papers for the post of Speaker of the Odisha Assembly.The Odisha ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on September 20 named senior party leader and Binjharpur MLA Pramila Mallik as its candidate for the election of the Assembly Speaker.

Election for the Odisha Legislative Assembly Speaker will be held on September 22. Pramila Mallik will be the first ever woman Speaker of the Odisha Assembly.
