Facilities not as per brochure, complaint filed against promoters and builders
Raipur: People living in Raheja Residency Labhandi had filed a complaint against the promoters and builders saying that there are many shortcomings in the colony. The colony residents are upset due to the parking and entry-exit being very far away from each other in the layout of the colony. The facilities that were claimed to be provided in the brochure were also not provided.
Space has not even been earmarked for parking. Despite paying lump sum maintenance fee to the builder, the project society has not even been handed over. The promoter and builder had also complained against Raheja Residency in RERA. He says that all the work in the colony was done seven years ago. Maintenance society people should do it. But people are not paying maintenance charges. Due to this the promoter is incurring a loss of crores every year. After listening to both the parties, RERA Chairman Sanjay Shukla decided that the promoter SP Developers should collect Rs 57.55 lakh as sinking fund and Rs 3.75 crore for maintenance i.e. a total of Rs 4.32 crore and deposit it in the account of Raheja Residential Cooperative Society Limited within two months.
