Asian Games: India won bronze in men’s and women’s speed skating relay
Hangzhou: The Indian women’s speed skating team comprising Sanjana Bathula, Karthika Jagadeeswaran, Hiral Sadhu and Aarti Kasturi Raj won the bronze medal in the 3000m relay final at the Asian Games with a timing of 4:34.861. The Indian team completed the race in 4 minutes and 34.861 seconds, giving them third place. Chinese Taipei won the gold medal with a timing of 4 minutes and 19.447 seconds, while South Korea won the silver medal with a timing of 4 minutes and 21.146 seconds.
The Indian men’s team was represented by Aryanpal Singh Ghuman, Anandkumar Velkumar, Siddharth Rahul Kamble and Vikram Rajendra Ingle in the 3000 meter relay speed skating event and won the bronze medal by finishing the race in the third place in the time of (4:10.128). In men’s also, gold was won by Chinese Taipei, who completed the race in a time of (4:05.692). South Korea won the silver medal by completing the race in a time of (4:05.792).
