Los Angeles. The US Biden government has conducted a nationwide emergency alert test. According to the US Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the national test tested the capabilities of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA). The WAEA portion of the testing was reportedly directed at consumer cell phones. The EAS portion of the test was for radio and television. According to FEMA, the purpose of the test is to ensure that the system remains an effective means of warning the public about emergencies.
