The Governor of Bihar will no longer be addressed as ‘His Excellency’ but as ‘Honourable’.
Patna (IANS). The Governor of Bihar will no longer be called ‘His Excellency’ nor will he be written as His Excellency. Now the Bihar Governor will be called ‘Hon’ble’. The Governor’s Secretariat has changed the word His Excellency, instead of it the word Honorable will be written.
In the order issued from Raj Bhavan Secretariat, it has been said that for all types of programs under the state, Honorable will be used in place of His Excellency. It is further written in the order that ‘Shri’ or ‘Mrs.’ will be used before the name of the Honorable Governor.
In special circumstances, Excellency will be used only during courtesy meetings with foreign diplomats etc. It is further written in the order of Raj Bhavan Secretariat that in all types of government remarks, Honorable Governor should be used in place of His Excellency.
