Youth dies after coming in contact with high voltage wire
Pakur: A young man got hit by a high voltage wire near the District Headquarters Police Line, due to which he died on the spot. After the death of the youth, angry people demonstrated by blocking the main road of Barharwa in the district. He demanded to call the department officials to the spot. On receiving information about the incident, Block Development Officer, Police Station Incharge and CO, CI reached the spot where they tried to convince the villagers.
The young man had gone with his father to cut grass for the cattle.
The incident took place near the police line of the district headquarters, where Anith Yadav, a resident of Dadpur village of Sadar block, had gone to the fields with his father Dubraj Yadav to bring fodder for the cattle. They were cutting grass from there. Meanwhile, young Anith Yadav was cutting grass with grass. While returning home, he came under the influence of an 11 thousand volt wire passing over the field and died on the spot.
Electricity department announced compensation to the family members
Here, after the death of the youth, angry people blocked the road and demanded compensation for the family. The Block Development Officer, who reached the spot, called the officials of the Electricity Department and during this, the officials of the department announced to repair the wire passing near the farm and also to immediately give Rs 25,000 to the family of the deceased. After which people removed the road jam.
The chief present at the spot told that a few days ago also a cattle had died after getting hit by the same wire, after which he had written to the department requesting that the wire should be taken from a higher place so that there is no loss of life and property. . But the department did not pay attention to this and due to this a young man died today. The chief said that the young man was married and had a small child. He said that if the assurance given by the department is not fulfilled then there will be another agitation in the coming days.
