Eye donation: Two people will see through the eyes of retired deputy ranger
Bhilai: After the death of retired Forest Department Deputy Ranger Ram Bihari Aggarwal (68 years), resident of Durg Borsi, with the consent of his family and his donation of eyes through Navdrishti Foundation, two blind people will get sight. Ram Bihari Agarwal’s wife Manju Agarwal, son Shaswat, Parishkrit, wife Ankita, Jayshree gave consent for eye donation of the head of their family. Dr. Pushpendra Lahare of Shri Shankaracharya Medical College and eye assistant Vivek Kasar collected the corneas.
Kulwant Bhatia, Raj Adhatiya, Ritesh Jain, Mangal Agarwal of Navdrishti Foundation were present at Agarwal’s residence and helped in making the eye donation process successful.
Mangal Aggarwal of Navdrishti Foundation said that Ram Bihari was my maternal uncle and my aunt and the entire family were in mourning. On my request, my aunt gave her consent for eye donation with tears in her eyes and in the future, she will be satisfied with her decision that her husband will die. The eyes will bring light and new life to two people. Ritesh Jain said that Ram Bihari Agarwal was a reputed person of the society, hence this eye donation of Agarwal family will definitely bring awareness in the society.
