Nepal’s Sudurpaschim province experienced a 4.8 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale on Monday morning.
There have been no reports of casualties or damage caused by the quake.
The earthquake, with a magnitude of 4.8, occurred at 9:26 am and had its epicentre near Batan, which is close to Darchula district in India, as reported by the Earthquake Measurement Centre in Surkhet.
People in Baitadi and neighbouring districts in the Far-West region of Nepal felt the tremor.
