I saw Hema Malini for the first time while shooting the film ‘Kudrat’: Anupam Kher

Mumbai: On the 75th birthday of actress and Lok Sabha MP Hema Malini, famous actor Anupam Kher said that it was one of the happiest evenings he has ever seen.

The actor posted a clip as well as pictures from the celebratory party on his Instagram and also shared his happiness of being there.

Captioning the post, he wrote, “Hema Malini ji is undoubtedly the most beautiful and iconic woman of the Indian film industry. I was in college when I first saw her shooting for the film ‘Kudrat’. I was 24 years old then.” I was fortunate to work with him in a few films after coming into films.”

He further added, “Yesterday was her 75th birthday. She hosted a party. It was one of the most delightful evenings, full of music, fun and nostalgia, and even after all these years Hema ji still has the same grace, magic and beauty.” May God give her a long, happy and healthy life. Jai Hema ji.”

In the clip, the veteran actress can be seen in a saree on stage with several celebrities. These included Dharmendra, Udit Narayan, Jackie Shroff and Kher.

On stage, the actress was grooving (and even singing parts of it) to the classic song ‘Tune O Rangeele’ from ‘Kudrat’, sung by the great Lata Mangeshkar.

Kher was recently seen in the film ‘Vaccine War’ and will also star in the upcoming films ‘Tiger Nageswara Rao’, ‘Ghost’ and ‘The Signature’.
