Deaf and mute children spread colors of Garba-Dandiya
Raipur: Garba dance festival was organized on Shardiya Vanratri, the festival of worship of Shakti, at Arpan Divyang Public School, run by Arpan Kalyan Samiti in Sector One, Bajaj Colony, New Rajendra Nagar. The deaf and dumb children of the school, who understood the sign language, danced their feet to the tune of Garba in such a way that the people present were stunned. These children can neither hear nor speak.
That is, they were not able to hear the tune of Garba that was being played, yet they showed amazing performance of Dandiya and quartet. The Garba Utsav was organized on the school premises under the banner of Ladies Circle India and Round Table India. The chief guest was Municipal Corporation Chairman and former Mayor Pramod Dubey.
Praising the skills of the children, he said that these children are full of talent. Sarita Aggarwal, Neha Dhariwal (ACP), Angoori Devi Aggarwal and Sumit Bardiya (AC) were present as guests in the program. Children dressed in Garba costumes had a lot of fun by participating in Garba. The program was conducted by Seema Chhabra. The vote of thanks was expressed by the president of the organization, Prakash Sharma. On this occasion, Treasurer of the organization Virendra Sharma, Vice President Dhananjay Tripathi, Mrityunjay Shukla, Principal Kamlesh Shukla, Monica Gupta, Vishal, Nilesh Mundhada, Pradeep Govind, Shitoot etc. were present.
