Pistol recovered with 273 grams of heroin, three arrested
Punjab: Three drug smugglers arrested with 273 grams of heroin, one pistol, two cartridges in Amritsar, Punjab
A case was registered against the three at the city police station under sections 21 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and sections 25, 27, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act.
A police party of local CIA led by Sub-Inspector Charanjit Singh on Wednesday arrested three drug smugglers with 273 grams of heroin, a pistol, two cartridges near Kot Dausandhi Mall and also seized their motorcycle.
SP (Investigation) Vishaljit Singh today said the suspects have been identified as Sunny Singh and Vishal Singh, residents of Mandiala village, and Sachinpreet Singh, resident of Pandori Ran Singh.
The SP said that the police party saw the suspects riding on a motorcycle near Kot Dausandhi Mall. They were signaled by the police party to stop. During the search, narcotics, pistol and cartridges were recovered from them.
