Accused of raping minor girl arrested in Eluru district

Eluru (ANI): According to the police, the minor girl is a class 10 dropout. A man was arrested after allegedly raping a minor girl and impregnating her in Denduluru mandal of Eluru district, police said,
A case was registered and the accused was arrested. Police said the accused works as a volunteer in Denduluru village. The accused was identified as Shivakumar and was arrested under the POCSO Act based on the complaint of the victim’s parents, he said.

After the case was registered, the accused absconded. We caught the accused with technical evidence. Nuzvid Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ashok Kumar Gaur said, there is no political pressure on us in this matter. According to the police, the minor girl is a class 10 dropout.
The victim’s parents noticed changes in her body and took her to the hospital, where they learned that she was pregnant. Later, on the fifth of this month, they registered a case, he said.
With special teams we traced the accused and arrested him. Soon he will be presented before the court. Nuzvid DSP said, the victim will be sent to a rehabilitation centre. (ANI)
