Fire breaks out in bus carrying 16 passengers, all killed
Fire broke out in a bus carrying 16 passengers in Valsad, Gujarat. 16 passengers died. A bus carrying 16 passengers caught fire early Friday on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway near Pardi village in Valsad district, police said.
However, no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. According to officials, the bus was going from Ahmedabad to Belgaum (Karnataka) at the time of the incident.
“There were 16 passengers in the bus and everyone was evacuated safely,” police said.
The incident led to the closure of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway for about 2 hours as firefighters made efforts to extinguish the fire.
