This grand court of Maa Aganarmoti, situated amidst the mountains of Gangrel in Dhamtari,

contains within itself the history of the last six hundred years. When this form of Mata Durga appeared in the ravines of Chavargaon, which is now submerged, and illuminated the entire area with her influence, and when the entire village was submerged due to the construction of a dam in 1972, the devotees built the court of Mata on the banks of the river. .

From then onwards the process of lighting the flame of faith in this court started which continues till today. According to belief, Angara, who fulfills everyone’s wishes, is the daughter of Shrishi, due to which it was named Angaramoti.

This mother fills the bags of devotees when her name is happy. At the same time, it becomes difficult to convince them when they are angry. According to the priest, this mother, who is considered the sister of all the forest goddesses, likes open valleys from the beginning, due to whose miracle many Nistan women have been blessed.
