Villager caught selling English liquor
Korba: Superintendent of Police Jiten Shukla has directed to take effective action against illegal activities/illicit liquor in view of the upcoming assembly elections 2023. On which, under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Abhishek Verma and City Superintendent of Police Darri Robinson Gudiya, station in-charge Hardibazar Nitin Upadhyay has taken major action. According to the information, information was received from the informer that a person was selling English liquor on the village Jorhadbari Baloda road and on this information, raid action was taken.
Accused Vinod Kumar Baghel, father Ramphal Baghel, age 40 years, has been caught by Sakin Budgahan Police Station Baloda District Janjgir Champa for selling illegal English liquor on the side of Jorhadbari Road, from whose possession 96 pavs of Gypsy English liquor filled in bottles of 180 ml each, totaling 17.280 liters of liquor worth Rs. Legal action has been taken by seizing Rs 1152 and registering crime number 241/2023, section 34 (2) of the Excise Act.
