Durg. CM Bhupesh Baghel performed Kanya Puja with his family at Bhilai residence. Along with this, the CM extended hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the people of the state on the holy festival of Siddhidatri and Mahanavami,

the ninth form of Mother Bhagwati. According to beliefs, Mother Goddess becomes very happy by worshiping Kanya and fulfills all the wishes of the devotees. Not only this, according to Devi Purana, Mother gets more happiness from Kanya Bhoj than Havan and donation. The mother herself also eats the food that is provided to the virgin girls. Therefore, unmarried girls should be worshiped with true heart and unmarried girls should be fed.
