Bar council of TN & Pondy suspends six advocates from practicing
CHENNAI: The Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry has suspended six advocates from practicing as advocates, in all courts including tribunals and other authorities in India, for cases against the advocates including murder charges.
C Raja Kumar Secretary of the Bar Council released a notification on Wednesday, stating that advocate S Theivakannan from Tuticorin is prohibited from practicing till the disposal of the criminal case registered against him including the murder charge.
Likewise, advocate S Thiyagarajan from Salem was also suspended from practicing till the disposal of the criminal case against him, said the notification, he is also booked on a murder charge under IPC 302.
The bar council suspended advocate M Vinothkumar from Madurai from practicing for suppressing the pendency of a criminal case registered against him during his enrolment, read the notification.
Advocate K Sundarrajan from Avadi, Chennai also suspended from practicing till the disposal of the disciplinary proceedings pending against him, said the notification.
The bar council suspended advocate E Ganeshan from Ambattur, Tiruvallur for abusing and threatening the court staff. He is also charged for breaking glass panes and window frames in the court hall.
The bar council revoked the prohibitory order initiated against advocate P R Adikesavan from JJ Nagar East, Chennai, and allowed him to practice in all courts.
