Tried to cut ATM, thieves arrived with gas cutter and spray
Kanker. Last night, an unknown thief tried to steal money by raiding the SBI ATM located adjacent to the State Bank of India branch of the Community Health Center in Narharpur Nagar. According to the information, the thief reached the ATM at 2:13 in the night with complete plans.
The accused had covered his face with a black cloth. As soon as he entered the ATM booth, the accused first sprayed red color on the CCTV cameras to hide his identity, so that the crime being committed could not be captured in the CCTV cameras. After this, an attempt was made to withdraw money by cutting the ATM machine with a gas cutter. After trying to hack the ATM machine for 2 hours and failing in his theft plan, the unknown thief came out of the ATM room at 4.07 pm and walked away from there. Due to which a major theft was saved.
When bank employee Parmeshwar arrived in the morning to clean the bank, he saw that there were marks of tampering and burning on the ATM machine. He informed the bank manager about the incident over phone. Immediately the manager reached the bank, saw it and informed the police station Narharpur. When the information was received, Narharpur TI Mordhwaj Deshmukh reached the spot along with the staff and is collecting information regarding the incident and scanning the CCTV footage. Based on that, the thief can be traced, but the thief has not been identified yet.
