12 people from Andhra Pradesh died, 2 serious in road accident
Karnataka: In a tragic incident, a road accident has taken place in Karnataka in which 12 people have died and 2 have been seriously injured.
It is noteworthy that an SUV collided with a parked truck on Bengaluru-Hyderabad National Highway No. 44.
The accident in Karnataka took place on the outskirts of Chikkaballapur near Bengaluru on Thursday, reports said.
According to police sources, two others were seriously injured in the incident and are undergoing treatment at the hospital, where their condition is said to be critical.
He said a thick layer of morning mist blocked the driver’s vision, leading to the accident.
Chikkaballapur SP D.L. Nagesh said the SUV collided with a truck from behind, killing 12 people.
The victims include two women and 10 men. The SP, who visited the spot, said, “As per information, the victims were coming from Andhra Pradesh.”
Police said the deceased was a resident of Gorantla in Andhra Pradesh and lived in Hongasandra in Bengaluru.
Five people died on the spot, while seven others died on the way to the hospital. The collision caused the car doors to jam and locals and police had to break them to save the victims.
