Police tightened its grip on Maulvi, detained after giving inflammatory speech
Fatehpur (Uttar Pradesh): An attempt was made to spoil the atmosphere in Fatehpur, UP. In fact, a Maulvi created a stir by giving an inflammatory speech. Not only this, he also raised slogans in support of Palestine from the public stage. When the matter came to light, there was panic in the police administration. The Maulvi and the organizer were immediately taken into custody. After this, investigation was started after interrogating both of them.
This matter is of Musuwar locality of Khaga. Where the eleventh Urs Sharif procession of Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani was organized. Here the alleged Maulana who had come from Bareilly was giving a speech from the stage. It is alleged that he tried to instigate people by giving provocative speeches regarding communal unity. During this time, on his appeal, people started raising slogans in support of Palestine. On this, angry people nearby complained to the Kotwali police. Police reached the spot after receiving information and detained the organizer of the event, a retired teacher and the alleged Maulana. According to the Kotwali in-charge, complaints like inflammatory speeches and sloganeering in a program organized without permission are being investigated. If evidence is found, action will be taken to file a report against the organizer.
Earlier, an attempt was made to spoil the atmosphere through social media in Shamli district also. Amidst the war between Israel and Hamas, Farman Haider and Farman Malik, residents of Kairana, had expressed their support by posting on WhatsApp. On which people expressed their displeasure and called it harmful for religious and social harmony. Taking action on this, the police registered a case against both of them under sections 153A and 503(2) of IPC.
