There was a fight over flag hoisting, 4 accused including a minor arrested
Rajnandgaon. The Kotwali police caught and took action against four accused, including a minor, who beat him with fists and sharp weapons when they refused to hoist the flag. According to the information received, on October 27, Kotwali police received information from Police Post Pendri Government Medical College Hospital Rajnandgaon that a person named Nikhil Das Vaishnav was brought to Government Medical College Hospital Rajnandgaon for treatment after being injured in an assault. On receiving the information, the injured Nikhil Das Vaishnav was interrogated by immediately reaching the Medical College Hospital in the night and found that between 11.30 to 11.55 pm, 4-5 unknown persons were putting up the flag of a particular party outside his house. When I refused to hoist the flag, they argued with me, used obscene abuses, threatened to kill me, and said that I was injured by hitting them with fists, sticks and sharp objects. On the basis of the report, crime number 832/23 section 294, 323, 506, 34 IPC was registered against unknown accused at Kotwali Rajnandgaon police station and taken under investigation. It was told that after immediately informing senior officials about the incident, necessary guidelines were obtained and the CCTV footage installed around the incident spot was immediately checked to trace the accused. On the basis of suspicion, on October 28, 4 persons Ganesh Kumar Vaishnav, 23 years, resident of village Khaira, Subbu Yadav alias Kameshwar Yadav, 18 years, Sakin Gaurinagar ward no. 14 Rajnandgaon, Dipesh Soni, 21 years resident, Gaurinagar ward no. When interrogated, 14 and a minor child admitted to carrying out the incident and were taken into police custody. Advance legal action is being taken.
