Odisha Vigilance raid on Superintending Engineer in Bhubaneswar at 6 places
Bhubaneswar: Today, Odisha Vigilance officials conducted a raid based on allegations of Biswabandhu Panigrahi, who serves as the Superintending Engineer at the Public Health Division in the Office of the Engineer-in-Chief (PH Division), Bhubaneswar, possessing disproportionate assets.
It is noteworthy that simultaneous house searches are being carried out by the Odisha Vigilance team, including seven Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), five Inspectors, eight Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), and other personnel. These searches are being executed under the authority of search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
The raids are currently taking place at six different locations in Bhubaneswar and Bhadrak:
- A double-storeyed building located at Plot No. 9505, House No. G/L-73 in VSS Nagar, Bhubaneswar.
- A three-bedroom flat in Assotech Pride, Tower No. B5-0202, Rudrapur, Bhubaneswar.
- A single-storeyed building situated at Plot No. 1472/4523 in Mathasahi, Bhadrak.
- The paternal house of Sri Panigrahi, located in Village-Toranpada, Bhadrak.
- A house belonging to a relative situated at G/L-77, VSS Nagar, Bhubaneswar.
- The office chamber of Sri Panigrahi, located within the Office of the Engineer-in-Chief, PH Division, Unnati Bhawan, Bhubaneswar.
As of now, the search operation is still in progress, and a more detailed report is expected in this matter.
