Fake ballot paper caught in Chhattisgarh

Ambikapur : Assembly elections are to be held in the district on November 17. In view of this, flying squad teams have also become more active in the district. On Saturday, different flying squads took effective actions while checking the printing presses in Ambikapur city. In this, fake ballot papers printed for the candidates without permission and forms for registration in Mahtari Vandan Yojana were seized from Goyal Printers. Similarly, more printed promotional material was received from Aakriti Printers Choprapara than the stated number. Seizure action has been taken in all. Similarly, action was also taken against transportation of promotional material without permission.

On Saturday, around 3 pm, a surprise inspection of Goyal Printers, operated at the own house of the operator of Goyal Printers, Babupara, was conducted by FST team number 04. Where pamphlets were found on the spot without printing permission and signature of the candidate or agent. These include 5000 sweepstakes pamphlets of Aam Aadmi Party candidate Priyanka of Sitapur Assembly Constituency No. 11, 5000 sweepstakes pamphlets of AAP Dal candidate Alexander Kerketta of Assembly Constituency No. 09 Lundra, which were fake ballot papers attached on the same page, no proper permission was given. On the spot, 5000 pamphlets of fake ballot papers of lotus flower, the election symbol of BJP candidate Prabodh Minj of Assembly Constituency 09 Lundra, which were found printed four on one page in white pages, were found without permission from a competent person. Seized for non-submission. During the raid of Flying Squad, 5000 forms were found printed for registration in Mahtari Vandan Yojana, the estimated cost of which was told by the printing press operator to be Rs 20 thousand. This publicity material, printed without permission or order, was confiscated by the Flying Squad team.

In the course of actions, during checking at Goyal Printing Press Babupara by FST Team Number 4, about 25 sacks of election campaign posters related to BJP were found in Tata Magic vehicle number CG 29 AD 0240 without permission and without documents. Due to lack of necessary documents on the spot, all publicity related items were confiscated. During this time, when information came to the notice that there was no permission for transportation through the vehicle, the vehicle was also confiscated. The team told that the estimated value of the seized poster could be Rs 50 thousand. According to the information received, FST team number 1 reached the spot at Aakriti Printers Choprapara and conducted investigation. During investigation, the campaign material of Hamar Raj Party candidate Anuk Pratap Singh Tekam was found to be stored more than the number of pamphlets mentioned. The number of pamphlets given by the candidate is 5 thousand pieces. Where 8 thousand pieces of pamphlets were obtained on the spot. In this way, when violations of the Model Code of Conduct were found, the said material was confiscated by the team. Its estimated amount is around Rs 5 thousand.
