Public holiday on 17th November
Bilaspur: For the assembly elections to be held on November 17 in the district, the General Administration Department of Chhattisgarh Government has declared a public holiday for the government institutions and offices located in the district.
The General Administration Department of the Government has declared Friday, November 17, the date of second phase of voting for the Assembly General Election 2023 as released by the Election Commission of India, as a public holiday (CG Holiday) in the respective assembly constituencies. During this period, there will be a public holiday in all government institutions and offices in the respective assembly constituencies.
Let us tell you that assembly elections are being held in two phases in Chhattisgarh. Under the first phase, on November 7, voting was held on 20 seats including 12 in Bastar division and 8 in Durg division of the state. Voting for the remaining 70 seats is to be held on November 17. In such a situation, on the instructions of the Election Commission of India, the General Administration Development Department of the Government of Chhattisgarh has issued an order for holiday (CG Holiday) for the concerned assembly constituencies.
