KCR targets opposition before assembly elections

Hyderabad (ANI): Telangana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrashekhar Rao criticized BJP and Congress, saying both the parties are two sides of the same coin. “Congress and BJP are two sides of the same coin. I have written 100 letters to PM Modi but he did not give us even a single medical college.

Voting for BJP is a waste. Voting for Congress is an even bigger waste.” ,” the Indian National Committee chief said. Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Wednesday said there was no communal violence in the ten years under the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) rule, adding that there were riots from time to time during the Congress tenure in the region. Addressing an election rally in Nizamabad, K Chandrashekhar Rao said, “There was no communal violence during the 10-year rule of BRS. \

Riots used to occur from time to time during the tenure of Congress. They gave only Rs 2000 crore as minority budget and in 10 years of BRS period, we spent more than Rs 12,000 crore.” He said, “Remember, the Babri Masjid issue started during the Congress period and it was demolished during the Congress tenure itself. If you want to be secular, be secular not just for some time, but for the whole life.” Rao also accused Congress of using people, especially Muslims, as vote bank and questioned Congress over the demolition of Babri Masjid. “Congress used you (people) as a vote bank. Even now, Congress plays drama; They say they will close the ‘shop of hate’.

I want to ask: By whose hands was the destruction of Babri Masjid? Who did this? Today, they (Congress) will say good things but if they are secular then they should always remain like that,” KCR said. There is going to be a triangular contest in the state between BJP, BRS and Congress. In the last assembly election in 2018, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), formerly known as Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), won 88 out of 119 seats, securing 47.4 per cent of the total vote share. Congress stood second with only 19 seats. Assembly elections are to be held in Telangana on November 30 and counting of votes along with four other poll-bound states is scheduled for December 3.
