B.Tech students were caught with drugs
Hamirpur. Following the death of a student under suspicious circumstances at the National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur on October 23, two more students of the institute, who were arrested along with two drug peddlers, have been expelled from the institute for one year following the decision of the BOD.
Let us tell you that these two students of B.Tech third year studying in the institute, namely Verma resident of Ghuman Tehsil Kumarsen district Shimla and Varun Sharma resident of Gattadhar Tehsil Sangrah district Sirmaur, were arrested by the police on October 23 on the same day on charges of Section 304 of IPC.
The day a student died in the institute. After being in police custody and then judicial custody for 18 days, the court had released these two students on bail on November 9. However, the institute had thrown them out of the hostel when for the first time action was taken against 24 students at once.
But recently, he was also given a chance by the institute to present his side. Following the report of the disciplinary committee, the management has expelled these two students from the college for one year. His one year academic session has been terminated. Even after joining the college after one year, they will not be provided hostel facility. Let us tell you that even before this, two students of the institute have been expelled from NIT for one year.
These two students are those, one of whom had hashish recovered from his hostel room and the other was caught by the police with hashish in the bus. It is worth noting that the management of National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur is busy taking action against the students involved in unwanted activities.
After the incidents that took place in the institute on October 23, till now, the management has taken action against 32 students. According to Rajesh Kumar, Media Incharge of NIT, the Discipline Committee After the report and after hearing the side of both the students, the management has given final approval to the decision of the committee and expelled both the students from the institute for one year.
