Chiranjeevi criticizes Mansoor Ali Khan for his derogatory remarks on Trisha
Hyderabad: Actor Chiranjeevi has come out in support of Tamil star Trisha and criticized actor Mansoor Ali Khan for his comments calling her and his derogatory comments ‘disgusting’.
“My attention has been drawn to some derogatory comments made by actor Mansoor Ali Khan about Trisha,” Chiranjeevi wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday.
The actor said: “The comments are distasteful and disgusting not only for an artiste but for any woman or girl. These comments must be condemned in the strongest possible terms. They reek of perversion.”

Concluding his statement, Chiranjeevi wrote: “I stand with @trishtrashers and every woman who has to suffer such lewd comments.”
The whole controversy between Mansoor and Trisha erupted when Mansoor made some bad and somewhat derogatory comments on the ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ actress.
Since both the actors co-starred in actor Vijay’s Tamil blockbuster ‘Leo’, the ‘Captain Prabhakaran’ actor said that he did not get a chance to share screen space with Trisha in the film.
Needless to say, this comment did not go down well with the ’96’ actress and she criticized him on social media.
The actor had written on his ex on November 18, ‘Recently a video has come in front of me, in which Mansoor Ali Khan has talked about me in a lewd and disgusting manner. I strongly condemn this and consider it to be gender discriminatory, offensive, misogynistic, disgusting and vile. He may keep wishing, but I am grateful that I never shared screen space with someone as pathetic as him and I will ensure that this never happens for the rest of my film career. People like him bring bad name to mankind.
Since the controversy, the actor has received a lot of support from netizens across the country, all of whom are disappointed with Mansoor Ali Khan’s comments, and are demanding a case be registered against him.
The issue was also raised by the National Commission for Women, which leveled allegations against the actor and directed the DGP to register a case against him.
