On World Children’s Day, Class-10 student Saikat Dey of Jodhpur Park Boys School on Monday took over the chair of his headmaster Amit Sen Majumdar as part of the celebration of UNICEF’s ‘Kids Takeover’ program and demanded more smart classrooms. Institutions.
“As the symbolic headmaster of the school, I will urge the use of science, modern technology and scientific instruments to ensure the education and safety of the students,” he said amid cheering from his classmates.

UNICEF West Bengal chief Amit Mehrotra said that with the high rate of enrollment in primary schools in the state, focus should be on improving classrooms and laboratories for students in secondary and senior secondary schools.
In another event, Mala Singh Mura symbolically took over the chair of the headmaster at Asha Bhawan Center in Uluberia in Howrah district. She is a child with an intellectual disability, but is known for her love of playing football and cricket.
