Asaduddin Owaisi expressed this confidence about KCR

Hyderabad (ANI): AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday expressed confidence that K. Chandrasekhar Rao will be elected Chief Minister of Telangana for the third time and launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

“I am sure KCR will become the chief minister for the third time. People of Telangana are intelligent. Apart from Bhainsa, there has been no communal riot in Telangana. There is peace and prosperity there. A lot more needs to be done.” At a press conference here.
He said Telangana is one of the highest spenders on social sector in the country.

Amid Congress attacking AIMIM, Owaisi took a dig at Rahul Gandhi and said he won in Wayanad because of the support of the Muslim League.
“We did not go to Amethi and Smriti Irani defeated him. He could not save the seats of his great grandfather, grandmother and father. Rahul Gandhi won Wayanad because the Muslim League gave him 35 percent Muslim votes. This is the truth in Indian politics. If there is any voter left for the Congress, it is the Muslim vote and that is why the Congress is worried about AIMIM’s minority empowerment and leadership concerns.”
Congress leaders allege that AIMIM fields its candidates to help BJP.

Asked about AIMIM contesting the Jubilee Hills seat against former cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin, Owaisi said anyone can contest from anywhere and religion is not an issue.
“Mohammed Azharuddin was earlier elected from Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh…but he did not do any work. He was a good cricketer, but not a good politician. He became HCA president…he is on anticipatory bail.” ,
The ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi, Congress and BJP are the main rivals in the assembly elections to be held in the state on November 30.
Counting of votes will take place on December 3 along with four other election states. (ANI)
