Collector Elma reached the counting venue of agricultural produce market premises located at the district headquarters last Wednesday and today Thursday. He took stock of all the arrangements related to counting of votes there. He asked to make strict security arrangements. An action plan for complete transparency has been made for every phase of vote counting to be held on December 3. Along with the barricades, seating arrangements for the candidates and their agents, information about the arrangements like computer, photocopier machine, mic etc. was also taken on the spot. He talked about providing all the necessary facilities in the media center like TV, computer, telephone, net, fax, photo copier machine, etc. He said that instructions were given to complete the counting of electricity, drinking water, toilets, fire brigade, medical camp etc. in the premises on time by 30th. Alma also took information about the breakfast and food arrangements for the officers and employees engaged in counting of votes. He said that whoever has been assigned the responsibility should fulfill it with full honesty.
He also took stock of the parking arrangements with the police officers. After each round of counting, the counting certificate will be given to the candidates by the District Election Officer. Only after that the counting of the next round will start. On this occasion, on Wednesday, Superintendent of Police Bhavna Gupta, Additional Collector Dr. Anil Bajpayee, C.L. Markandey, Returning Officer of the three assembly constituencies Saja, Bemetara, Navagarh, Vishwas Rao Maske, Suruchi Singh, Bhupendra Joshi, Additional Superintendent of Police Pankaj Patel, Executive Engineer Public Works Nirmal Singh, Deputy District Election Officer Umashankar Bande, and officials of other departments were present. He said that it should be kept in mind that mobile phones are completely banned. Without entry pass, you will not be allowed to enter the counting venue, hence you must bring the issued entry pass with you. The Collector said that like polling centres, entry of unauthorized persons will be prohibited in the counting centre. Admit cards will be issued by the election officer for all the candidates, their representatives and journalists etc.
