Husband poisons wife in front of children, admitted to hospital
Bhojpur. In Bhojpur, a woman was forced to drink poison by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law in front of her son and daughter. He was immediately rushed to Sadar Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. The situation is said to be serious. The incident took place in Kusumha village of Udwantnagar police station area. The woman was having a dispute with her brother-in-law and sister-in-law regarding the route. There was an altercation on Thursday also. Then Veer Bahadur Chaudhary (brother-in-law) and Sunita Devi (sister-in-law) together made the woman drink poison. During this time, the victim woman’s son Ankit (14) and daughter Princess Kumari (11) were present on the spot.
After receiving information about the incident, a crowd of villagers gathered. Seeing the critical condition of the woman, the villagers informed the police. As soon as the information was received, the patrol team of Udwantnagar police station reached the spot and immediately took the victim to Ara Sadar Hospital for treatment. The victim woman was identified as Rita Devi (33), wife of Satyadev Chaudhary, resident of Kusumha village. Satyadev drives a truck for Tata in Jharkhand. The victim’s son Ankit Kumar told that his parents had installed gates on the main door of the house. There is a dispute going on regarding entry and exit through this gate. There was a fight earlier also. At that time also my mother was beaten.
Ankit told that on Thursday afternoon his mother was talking to his maternal grandfather on the phone. I came back home from school. During this time, there was an argument between my mother and my elder father and mother. Then the elder father and mother mixed poison in the glass and forcibly made the mother drink it. Due to this his condition became serious. He said that he is undergoing treatment in a critical condition. After receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and started investigating the matter. Udwantnagar police station incharge Awadhesh Kumar said that information has been received about a woman being poisoned by her family members. The woman has been taken to Ara Sadar Hospital for treatment, where treatment is underway. The victim woman is unconscious. After regaining consciousness, further action will be taken by registering an FIR on his statement.
