Constitution Day will be celebrated on 26th November
Ambikapur : Constitution Day is to be celebrated on 26th November. Detailed guidelines have been issued by the state in this regard. It is noteworthy that on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the Government of India has decided to celebrate Constitution Day on 26 November every year. Dr. Ambedkar was the chairman of the drafting committee of the Indian Constitution. The Indian Constitution was adopted, enacted and surrendered on 26 November 1949.
According to the guidelines issued by the state in this regard, at present the Model Code of Conduct is effective in the state from October 9, 2023. On the occasion of Constitution Day on November 26, 2023, the web portal created by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs for online reading of the Preamble of the Constitution will be opened by officers, employees and students of all government offices, schools, colleges, institutions, public undertakings. The “Preamble” of the Indian Constitution should be read, it should be publicized for public participation and the web portal should be used for online quizzes. Where internet facility is not available in computer and mobile, the Preamble of the Constitution should be read in offline mode as before. On the said occasion, attention has also been directed to ensure that the instructions issued for Model Code of Conduct are not violated in any way.
