Police deployed in temporary picnic spots
Manendragarh Chirmiri Bharatpur: Five people lost their lives in two incidents that took place in Nagpur and Barabaspur on National Highway 43. A bike collided with a truck parked at Nagpur intersection, in which two people died. In the second incident, near Barbaspur, a drunk car driver went to the wrong side and hit two bikes, in which three people died on the spot. He died. Liquor bottles were also found in the crashed car in which four youths were traveling. This made it clear that the person who was driving under the influence of alcohol had caused the accident.
After this incident, officers reached the accident site to investigate. Police and Revenue Department officials inspected the spot. During this time, the local people have demanded that strict action should be taken against those driving after consuming alcohol. Especially at midnight, vehicles should be stopped and the drunk driving should be checked with the help of a machine. Strict action should be taken against anyone caught while driving, so that from next time no one plays with someone’s life after drinking alcohol.
Local people have demanded that there are many picnic spots nearby, where youth enjoy picnic after drinking alcohol. There should be constant patrolling in these temporary picnic spots so that cases of drunk driving can be prevented. They come out on the streets in an intoxicated state and then become victims of accidents.
