Ex-servicemen jam railway track, public upset at Ambala station
Ambala. The issue of One Rank One Pension for ex-servicemen is becoming heated. For the last 10 months, ex-servicemen from all over the country have been protesting at Jantar Mantra in Delhi regarding their demands, but till now the government has not accepted their demands. Due to which today the ex-servicemen made a big announcement and blocked the railway track near Haryana Punjab Border Shambhu Toll Plaza due to which the trains going to Punjab had to be cancelled.
On this occasion, a large number of ex-servicemen of Punjab have sat on the railway track near Shambhu Toll Plaza with their demands. Now ex-servicemen of Haryana have also started reaching there. Along with this, ex-servicemen from all over the country are also expected to reach here by the evening.
The ex-serviceman of Punjab said that for the last 10 months, 10 lakh ex-servicemen from across the country are sitting at Jantar Mantra in Delhi and protesting peacefully for their demands.
He said that in these 10 months, from Tehsildar to DC MP, there is no such leader or Chief Minister at whose door we have not gone with the demand letter, but no hearing was held anywhere. Punjab Government’s Naib Tehsildar Harish Kumar said that I would only say that he is our soldier brother. When they wake up on the border, we sleep peacefully. He said that I have talked to him and I will talk to my officer and let him know whatever decision is taken.
He appealed to the ex-servicemen to stay away from the track. He said that the public faces a lot of problems due to jammed railway tracks. Someone has to go to a wedding, someone has papers. You are also the same and the track is also the same. He said that do not block the track until the talks end. However, he justified their demands.
