Theft at land broker’s house, two women arrested
Raipur: Two women have been arrested in the theft case that took place at a land broker’s house. According to the police, Surendra Sahu lodged a report in Mana police station that he lives with his wife and daughter in Siddhi Vinayak Colony Mana Camp and is engaged in buying and selling land. On 17.11.2023, at around 06:30 pm, the applicant had locked his house and went for a walk with his wife and daughter. When he came back home at around 07:30 pm, he opened the lock of the main gate and went inside the house and saw that the bedroom door was open and the stuff was inside. It was scattered on the ground. The cupboard door was also open and broken and the rod of the bedroom window was also broken. There was a trolley bag kept in the cupboard in which cash was kept and there was no gold and silver jewelery kept in the cupboard. An unknown thief broke the rod in the window of the applicant’s deserted house and entered the room, broke the lock of the cupboard and stole the said Mashrooka kept in the cupboard, that on the report of the applicant, crime number 354/23 was registered in the police station against the unknown accused. Section 457, 380 IPC. The crime of was registered.
On which, under the direction of senior officers, the joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Mana police station, made detailed inquiries of the nearby people including the applicant regarding the incident, inspected the incident site and started locating the unknown accused. The team members inspected the CCTVs installed in and around the incident site. Along with examining the camera footage, other people who bought and sold land along with the applicant were also interrogated.
Based on the method of incident, it seemed that the above incident of theft was carried out by an outside gang, on which the team members started working focusing on the outside gang and informers were also appointed in the case. The team members carefully observed the CCTV footage and made efforts to identify the unknown accused on the basis of technical analysis. Meanwhile, the team members received important information regarding the unknown accused involved in the incident and the presence of the accused was found in village Bansara located in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. On which, under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Police Station Mana was sent to South 24 Parganas District of West Bengal. While the team members reached village Bansara and traced the accused, the female accused Yasmin Bibi and Fatima Bibi involved in the case were caught. During interrogation, both the female accused were said to have committed the said incident of theft along with accused Abu Taleb Mollah and Aslam Shaikh. On which both the female accused were arrested and action was taken by seizing the stolen cash amount of Rs 3,50,000/-, 01 pair of silver anklets, trolley bag and 02 mobile phones used in the incident.
